An Unlikely Reunion

Chapter 1


Taekyung was busy, The last song was received well and he was now fully in the process of preparing for the tour. It was exhausting and he was nowadays suffering from his hated throat pain again.

Minam was taking most of the difficult solos and the rest were busy on their own also. The last 4 months empty even when his heart was full.

Minyo was so far away helping people in Uganda .

He was always calling her and the 'pig-rabbit' that she was, she never had time enough for him. Was she forgetting him? was looking at stars in the sky enough ? he wanted her only to look at him.

Did she miss him at all ?  he took out his cell phone and called the now familiar number.

Beep - beep - beep.

The engaged ring tone disturbed and made him angrier. He went back to composing and suddenly he saw Min-yo coming towards him stretching out her hand, smiling at him

"Hyung-nim ! Hyung-nim"

Tae Kyung woke up with a jerk and realized it was not her, it was Mi-nam. Damn he looked just like his sister.

‘Yes’ responded Tae Kyung.

With out waiting for preliminaries Minam who was visibly shaking asked him urgently "have you heard from noona lately, I have been trying to reach her from yesterday? as it was our fathers death day but she who normally calls me did not call – can you find out if she is ok??"

Concerned, Tae Kyung called her again but the cell was switched off, so, he told Mi-nam that as her trip was almost over she must have was gone to visit some nearby friend.

More than a little worried now TaeKyung called the embassy and after cutting through some serious red tape, got the information- the one thing he was afraid of and really did not want to happen. "Mr.Taekyung there was suddenly a flare-up in the place where she went and there is no information on her whereabouts, the authorities are also searching for her for the past couple of hours and as soon as some information is forthcoming you would be informed. "said the official.

And all that jargon meant only one thing “Min-yo had disappeared”.

Taekyung did not remember what happened after that. All he remembered were snatches of what he did. Jeremy, Shin woo and Minam were there talking about what could be done. Only he knew what he had to do. So he called his father in Paris and booked his tickets to Europe immediately.

"Oh Why did he let her go?" Was all he could think

"No I cannot let her go !" he thought.And the next thing he knew he was sitting on a plane bound to Paris, and as soon as he had landed he was in touch with the Korean embassy in Uganda .

The Good news was she was found! the bad news? she was badly hurt and hospitalized.

"Oh Why did he let her go?". The line sang in his head even as he organized a charter plane to bring her to Paris instead of Lisbon where all the rest of the patients were to be taken. He appraised the worried brother and his friends of the situation, calming them down in his matter of fact way, more than he could calm himself down.

He remembered the way she had fought that fever when she was acting as Minam and  reassured him that she would do her best . Taekyung was in his fathers house after five long years but it did not register in his head that he barely greeted him and was off and running to take care of things.

"Oh Why did he let her go ?" was a refrain that was running through his head constantly. "Never again will I make the same mistake if she came back safely" he promised himself.

The charter plane was landing soon and he had not slept in the last 18 hours.
