Deprived (Chap 2)

Chapter 2


Hyunjoong had to go to the MBC studio for the editing session of the youtube version of his drama.

He entered the corridor that connected both the wings of the building and did not notice the person walking in the opposite direction as he was busy texting .The person's head was covered with a large navy blue hoodie and he did not notice too.It was inevitable that they collide with each other.Hwangbo Hyejung's shocked eyes looked up at him and closed as she fainted.

Hyunjoong panicked and picked her up immediately and realized that she was burning up.She obviously had high grade fever.He took her into one of the guest waiting rooms and called her manager from her iphone and later sprinkled some water on her face and tried to wake her up .Hwangbo stirred from her unconsciousness and when she opened her eyes saw a face that she did not want to .

"What are you doing here , Hyunjoong?" she asked him getting up.

"Don't move , are you alright ? what are you doing here with that kind of fever? Are you promoting your new song? " He asked handing her a can of coke.

"You ask too may questions.... all at once ! Yes! I had a radio show and yes i am promoting my new song! did you see it?"She asked him.

"No! I don't have the time" He replied coolly .
'Liar' he thought inside.His heart was hammering away uncontrollably.

"Oh yes ! the ever busy superstar ! By the way I watched your new drama , and enjoyed it a lot! really enjoyed it ! " she said.

He noticed that she looked very anxious.

Hyunjoong could not hide his disappointment "so you enjoyed it huh? enjoyed all those steamy kiss scenes too? I am glad then ! there is more to come in the internet version "He said with a sardonic twist to his mouth.

Hwangbo's manager Choi Hong Won entered the room.He never liked Hyunjoong and it was evident in the distasteful look he gave him.

"Hyunjoong-ssi what are you doing here?"he asked Hyunjoong while helping Hwangbo get up.

"Please answer my question first manager-ssi , why did you schedule a program when she was obviously not feeling well?"asked Hyunjoong.

Hwangbo had enough of his interference "Leave my manager alone and mind your own business ....oh and Good luck & Good bye Hyunjoong"  saying thus Hwangbo left from the room with her manager in tow.

Hyunjoong was majorly  frustrated in life.He looked at himself and noticed his tired and unhappy face in the mirror. Hell ! he could even see a few gray strands on his head. This woman was nothing but a pain to him he thought.He recieved a text then...

"Hyung! noona is guesting on my radio show today!
I'm going to have so much fun with her !
are you jealous?
p ...hyungjoonie"

He was really getting irked by the fact that Hyungjoon and Hwangbo were getting really close these days during the shoots of their new show Ohbamah.He noticed Hyungjoon was giving her more attention than necessary and he didn't like it.He had to warn the U-kiss members not to get too close to her when they guested on the show.

He texted him back saying

" noona is not well today.So, ask her to guest when she gets better!..........please do this  for me! dongsaeng

Hyunjoong Hyung"


"Ah....really ?....
no i can't cancel at last minute
but i will be good to her hyung"
replied Hyungjoon.

Hyunjoong met with the director and did what he had to do.His co-star was there too.They were friends now.But it stopped there.He couldn't understand the media because when he was having a full blown relationship with Hwangbo the media did not suspect a thing but just because he was shooting intimate scenes with his co-stars they linked them up.He just didn't understand where the media was coming from.

He was sitting in the backseat of his Maybach  and when the driver put on the radio her song was playing.He went to eat and her song played there too.Her song and her voice haunted him the whole day.

He finally came back home .It was lonely these days as Jaejoong was in Taiwan promoting his new album.He was lost in thought and he went back to those days.

One year back.......September 29,2009.



"Okay i promise never to hurt you ever again......I am so ssorry......."said Hyunjoong.

"I am sorry for the misunderstanding too......Hyunjoong!"said Hwangbo.

"Arasso...let's forget about all this and lets plan on how to make this relationship work without the media and fans knowing about it."

"OK" she replied and so they put their heads together and started planning.

March 9, 2010

"Hwangbuin this Asia tour is going to wrap up and my contract is ending this june and I got a call from Bae Yong Joon's agency Keyeast......... and other companies .So let me see.............what to do!" he asked her over  the phone.

"Whatever you decide I will always support it!"she said simply.

"But i need some guidance regarding these companies "he said.

"OK , I know a lot of people .I will ask them to get in touch with you "she said.

"Thank you ! you are really a God sent "



There was never a time when her vivacious laugh did not bring out his smile too.

JULY 28 2010


"This pressure is getting to me..what should i do?"he asked her

"I am getting blamed for the disbandment of my band ! and keyeast did not put in the clause of 'no marriage involved' in the previous contract but in the contract I signed they included it and i didn't read it !"

"How could you not carefully read the contract before signing it " she wringed her arms.

"Okay ! okay relax i will handle this" he said.

"They did not agree to it"he said

"what?"she asked him.

"I am going to be really busy shooting for my new drama anyway can we think about this later I am so tired..."he said while walking to the bed

"Are you serious? then what about us?"she asked.

" You just have to wait for two more years buin ! please ! dont' argue with me  " he said in a tone she didn't like.

"argue? Is this called arguing ?" she asked him.

"Look ! even my parents have to be convinced .....you know very well how my parents opposed our fake marriage leave alone a real one.......so lets leave things as they are buin" he pleaded

"You call me 'buin' but you have absolutely no interest in legalising our relationship......fine you go do your drama,your music ,your CF's ,your parents,your agency ......your life.Just get out of mine.Go .Get out."She yelled.

"Are you serious? the mood i am in right now I may seriously leave and never come back again"he said.She felt like he threatened her.

"No just leave Hyunjoong.......I should never have gotten myself into this relationship.........That show was a hoax anyway like our relationship."she said .She stood before him her face flushed from anger.

"Araso, I have an early morning shoot , I dont have to deal with all this now ,I am really leaving "he said.He got up from the bed.

"Leave ! go! just go!"she whispered but he heard it.

He took his phone and car keys and left .She did not cry that day.But she did the next day .

She knew his drama was not doing well.She also knew that he needed her.But she was not the kind of woman who would ask him to comeback.She wanted him to come to her on his own.



He needed her more than ever .He saw her on various shows and she seemed to be fine.She was honing her acting skills he thought.He wanted to do that too .He was not going to give in either.So he didn't contact her.

But when her sitcom "Kim and Lee " released he couldn't help but call her to congratulate.So he dialed her number

"Hello?"her voice sounded wonderful to his ears

"It's me!"he said

"What do you want?"she asked

"Are you alright? you look like you lost weight in your new drama and your dark circles increased"he commented

"You never know the right thing to say to me do you? but this is what i have to say to you........ I am fine, I am still beautiful and very happy .Good bye"

And she cut the call.

He did not know what to say.

He called her a million times later but she did not pick up her phone.When she did pick up she did not say a word.The wall between them was too thick now.

Present day

Now he knew why she used those words in her song . He had to do something about this .He knew.But what? He was as clueless as ever when it came to her.

Hwangbo was getting back to her house from the hospital.The doctor advised her to stay at home and get some rest.

"Are you alright Hwangbo-ssi" asked her manager.

"Are you referring to my health or my ill fated meeting with Kim Hyun Joong"she asked.

"Hyunjoong"he replied.

"I am fine.I stopped pining over little boys long back .So lets not talk about this again and i don't want any mention of his name ever again in those shows i am going to attend.Make sure his name doesn't pop up "

She told him to go back  and take the rest of the day off.


It was midnight when Hwangbo returned from her mom's house.She was feeling much better after eating her mom's home cooked food.

Before she entered the security code.............the door opened and Hyunjoong stood inside holding the door open for her.

"What are you doing here?"she asked.

"Get in first......... its cold outside"He said.

"Please leave I don't have the energy to fight with you today"she said lying down on the sofa.

"Precisely the very reason why I came! you remember in our love pledges 'to get medicine for my wife when she is sick'"he said.

"I have a doctor thank you! and what pledges? you seem to pay a lot of attention to your co-star.so you voided one of the pledges .....so forget it hyunjoong"she said.

"when?where? did you see me paying attention except during filiming and drama promotions?"He asked.

"Ah forget it .....just leave....please!"she pleaded.

"Araso ! but first I have something for you"he said.

"I have no interest in anything you offer."she said curtly.

"Just look at it ! you don't have to like it!"he said

And he opened the present.

"Tada!"

"Ah you kill me Hyunjoong"she said in shock.
